DESCRIPTION
Los Llanos de Gredos is an extra virgin olive oil made from olives harvested green in the olive groves of the southern Sierra de Gredos (Avila).
The olives are harvested when they are 70% green, from mid-October to the beginning of November. The olives are harvested and milled on the same day, at a low temperature of less than 25ºC, so as not to destroy their antioxidants, and only by cold mechanical processes.
It is a multi-varietal oil made from the manzanilla, cornicabra, gordal and picual varieties, resulting in a smooth and balanced oil with a medium bitterness and not very pronounced sharpness. It has aromas of almond, green apple, with notes of grass and tomato, an intense green colour with yellow tones, making it an oil with a very high organoleptic value, ideal for raw use.
